Deshpande: Endorsing brand after careful thought

  TV star turns brand ambassador

Danube aims to attract the female market

Danube Building Materials has named Dubai-based entrepreneur, TV personality and fashion designer Uma Ghosh Deshpande as the new brand ambassador for its building and home materials retail chain Danube Buildmart.

She is expected to tap into a wider female consumer base, promoting the company’s 25,000-product portfolio of home and interior  products and accessories.

Deshpande launched the Middle East region’s first ever luxury lifestyle fashion TV show called High Life Dubai, which has evolved into being a trusted style guide and trend setter.

She said: “I am very selective with the brands I endorse. I need to believe in the brand first before openly endorsing it to the public.

“Danube Buildmart and its complete line of home interiors and other accessories is definitely a brand that I can relate to and I am humbled to have been chosen as its new brand ambassador.”

“We are very excited to welcome Uma Ghosh Deshpande into the Danube family as our new brand ambassador,” said Rizwan Sajan, chairman, Danube Building Materials.

“Her strong influence and popularity among female consumers in the Middle East region will surely play a key role in our continuing efforts to promote the Danube Buildmart chain of stores as a premier one-stop-shop for all your home and building material needs.”
