Show features 220 companies from 27 countries, next edition in November 2013
THE inaugural edition of the three-day Index KSA, the Saudi Arabian edition of the region’s largest interiors and design exhibition, held in Jeddah recently, attracted over 5,000 visitors.
Jaafar Shubber, Index KSA 2012 project manager, commented: “We couldn’t be more satisfied with the results we have achieved. We launched Index in Saudi Arabia because we believed strongly in the potential of the interior design market in the country but, being as always with the first edition of any show, we were unsure of the response we would receive from the exhibitors and visitors.
Based on the figures and feedback, dmg :: events has announced that Index KSA will return to Jeddah from November 11 to 13, 2013.
This year’s exhibition featured 220 companies from 27 countries including France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea and Brazil.
Six sectors – lighting, furniture, interiors, kitchen and bathroom, outdoor living and textiles – were covered by industry leaders such as Al Mutlaq Furniture, Amber Gallery, Coleccion Alexandra, Dieffebi, Epoca, Fayek Furniture, Fine Art Lamps, Meuble El Chark, Roca, and Terzani.
“The Jeddah Centre for Forums and Events was the ideal location for the hustle and bustle of the exhibition. A total of 4500 sq m of space was taken by exhibitors at the show, and Index KSA was a constant hive of business and networking activities,” Shubber said.
“Both international and local interior design industry players have had the chance to meet and exchange ideas and solutions for their projects, while taking inspiration from the most recent market trends.”
Index International Design Exhibition, the flagship event held annually in Dubai, UAE, for the last 22 years, will run from September 24 to 27 at the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre. |
