The show has attracted 200 exhibitors
OVER 200 exhibitors from 27 different countries are set to attend Index KSA, the Saudi Arabian edition of the Middle East and North Africa’s biggest, longest-running and most innovative trade event for interior/exterior designers and architects. The show is scheduled to take place from November 12 to 14, 2013, at the Jeddah Centre for Forums and Events, according to MICE Arabia, the organiser of the show, and dmg events, co-organiser.
The show is supported by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI).
“After the great response to the launch show in 2012 and with a line-up of renowned international brands that have already booked their exhibition space, Index KSA is shaping up for a highly successful second edition,” said Alaa Al Ush, project manager Index Saudi Arabia.
The show, the largest interior design exhibition in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, will cater to the growing demands of suppliers for interiors and fit-out across all project sectors. A recent study, commissioned by dmg :: events and conducted by Ventures ME confirmed Saudi Arabia as the fastest growing market in the GCC for the interiors and fit-out industry with an estimated value of US$3.4 billion in 2013 which is 35 per cent growth in comparison to 2012. The consumption and import of furniture in the Kingdom has been increasing year on year and with a value of US$1.8 billion, is the GCC country with the highest consumption rate.
The Saudi event will cover all sectors from lighting and textiles, to kitchen, bathroom and outdoor, including sections dedicated to retail, office, educational, medical and hospitality solutions.
An area of the exhibition will be converted into an art gallery where Saudi Arabian and regional artists will showcase their work. New features that have been introduced for the second edition also include an Interior Design Competition open to interior design and architecture professionals in Saudi Arabia, and a self-guided Trend Tour that will pinpoint the most interesting products displayed at the show.
“We wanted to enhance our exhibitor and visitor experience and Index KSA 2013 will be more than just an exhibition; it will facilitate business interaction, gives the opportunity to expand and strengthen professional networks and provide inspiration for interior and exterior design projects,” added Alaa Al Ush.
