Johnson Tiles launches Arabesque range of ceramic wall tiles

UK-based ceramic tile manufacturer Johnson Tiles has launched a new collection of high quality wall tiles called Arabesque.

The new range features rich jewel tones and highly decorative, detailed designs as seen across the globe. There are three distinctive themes to choose from within the innovative Arabesque range, with all ceramic tiles featuring vibrant colours, liquid gold and intricate, hand-drawn and finished decorations.

Darren Clanford, creative director at Johnson Tiles, said: “Travel is one of life’s great inspirations and a trip to the Middle East back in May 2011 didn’t disappoint. What we discovered was inspirational architecture, stunning design styles, and an incredible mixing of colour and precious metal, truly inspirational. On our return to the UK our mission was simple, we had to uphold the heritage and integrity of the region honour its influence over thousands of years on architecture and design at large and in turn deliver a range of ceramic tiles that encapsulated and honoured all of the above. The result is Arabesque.

“These tiles are spectacular in design and colour, creating a real statement feel for any interior space, but one which has timeless appeal. When combined with plain Prismatic tiles or mosaics the colours and patterns of the designs are instantly enhanced, giving limitless options for a truly unique effect.”

The Arabesque range is available in 200 by 200 mm with 200 by 100 mm borders and 100 by 100 mm insets.

The collection is split in to three design groups each with co-ordinating plain tiles and mosaics – ‘Geometrics’ combine both pattern and colour for maximum effect to bring character to any interior scheme; ‘Filigree’ features intertwining scrolls, knots and plaited borders for an elaborate design whilst ‘Ornamental’ are highly-decorative tiles inspired by nature, with interweaving floral motifs, rich colour ways and gold leaf adornment bringing a lavish look to any scheme.

The new collection is designed and manufactured in the UK. As part of Norcros Group, Johnson Tiles is the largest manufacturer and supplier of ceramic, porcelain, glass and mosaic tiles in the UK and has a tradition of making fine English ceramic tiles that reaches back well over 150 years. Johnson Tiles has a long history of market leadership and leads the ceramic industry in production development. Its products are used in a wide range of commercial and non-commercial projects. The company has years of experience in supplying tiles to all sectors of the market, building close relationships with architects, international designers and end users.

“Johnson Tiles supplies tiles to almost every country in the world and has a reputation not only for high standards of products and services, but also excellence in quality and design,” Clanford added.
